Nature By Design, LLC is a residential landscape design and consulting firm, owned and operated by Karen Welch. Karen is committed to meeting the landscaping needs of her customers and helping them improve the value of their homes. As a Virginia certified landscape designer, she takes pride in the quality of her design work, the attention she gives to detail, and her extensive experience with plants.

Karen graduated from the University of Arizona in 1987, receiving a degree in business with a concentration in operations management. She has been practicing landscape design for 12 years, nine years in Virginia. She and her husband of 22 years have two sons and reside in the Richmond area.
